What You Want to Know!

Nope. You don’t have to be married to experience a break up. Even though being married can bring its unique difficulties (such as navigating the legal process), many of the challenges remain the same for long term romantic partnerships of all kinds. We hope the information and resources we share can be helpful for those uncoupling from all types of relationships.

Not at all!  Our goal is simply to give you the resources and support you need to help guide you through the different steps and stages of splitting, if you decide to leave your relationship (or if IT decides to leave you!). We want to provide a community of people who can share their break up and life rebuilding experiences to help others.

We are three sisters who have all gone through one or more divorces and wished we had a “one stop shop” resource when we were going through the ending of our marriages. As many of our friends faced their own splits, the first thing we would hear is “I don’t even know where to begin” so we wanted to lift this burden and help others to navigate their splits as well as their efforts to rebuild their lives.

We do! If you, or someone you know, has expertise that would be helpful to our  growing customer base, please reach out (support@splithappens.comand let us know! Anyone can also register to be able to comment on or add content to the “Stories” section of our website at any time.

We will always have a free membership level providing content, resources and community to those who need support!  We do offer a paid membership level for those seeking more detailed guidance, access to our future virtual and in person events (as well as to our private Facebook group), and discounts on products and services we offer. While we intend to provide as much as possible without cost, the paid membership helps us cover our operating expenses, allowing us to continue to support as many people as possible.

Breakups don’t have deadlines—neither does getting the support you need to rebuild your life emotionally, financially, legally, and socially. You may benefit from assistance coping with grief, regaining confidence, managing stress, budgeting and asset management, resolving child custody, rebuilding a network, rediscovering personal interests or passions, and practical guidance with dating, wardrobe, childcare, housing, or a career development/reboot. Split Happens’ curated online meetings, podcasts, resource guides, checklists, and a supportive community can provide many resources to help you build a strong foundation for moving forward with resilience. No matter when it ended, we’re here to help you start again…your way!
